Vocational Education Strengthening Project (INVEST)

1. The Government of Indonesia has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) toward the cost of Vocational Education Strengthening Project (INVEST) Loan No. 2416-INO, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this loan to payments under the contract for MIS Equipment and PMU Equipment.

2. The Ministry of National Education now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the Procurement of Management Information System (MIS) equipment for 90 Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) in 33 provinces and ICT equipment for PMU.

   - Lot 01 : MIS Equipment for 90 SMK in 33 Provinces

   - Lot 02 : ICT equipment for PMU

3. National competitive bidding will be conducted in Single-Stage: Two-Envelope procedure in accordance with ADB's and is open to all Bidders from eligible source countries.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from The Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education Directorate General for the Management of Primary and Secondary Education and inspect the Bidding Document at the address given below, from 09:00 to 15:00 West Indonesian Time (WIB) hours.

5. The Bidding Document, in the English language, may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee Rp. 1,000,000 (one million rupiah) or $ 100 (one hundred dollar). The method of payment will be cash. The document will be sent by airmail for overseas delivery and surface mail or courier for local delivery. No liability will be accepted for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before 26 June 2009, 12:00 West Indonesian Time (WIB) hours. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Rp. 324,000,000 (three hundred twenty four million rupiah) or $ 32,400 (thirty two thousand four hundred dollar) for Lot 01 and Rp. 24,000,000 (twenty four million rupiah) or $ 2,400 (two thousand four hundred dollar) for Lot 02. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the Bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address below on 26 June 2009, at 13:00 West Indonesian Time (WIB) hours.

7. The Directorate of Technical and Vocational Education Directorate General for the Management of Primary and Secondary Education will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by Bidders in connection with the preparation or delivery of Bids.
